Book To Movie Challenge: First Quarter Check-In

April 2, 2014 Blogger Events, Book To Movie Challenge 18

Hi all and welcome to the first Book to Movie Challenge Check-In! I hope you’re all having a great time reading and watching so far this year. As always, my co-host Sergio of Tipping My Fedora is rocking this challenge, with 15 book to movie adaptations reviewed already! Since I love Agatha Christie, one of his reviews which I enjoyed the most was Marple: Endless Night. This first review not from the two of us hosting the challenge was a review of Gone Girl from Wendy at Wensend. Similarly, the latest non-host review was All Quiet on the Western Front from Bettina at Impressions Notebook. Personally, I’ve made it through two book/movie pairs: Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Monuments Men. I’ve also readΒ Sharp Objects for my book club, but it was so dark, I might be too nervous to watch the movie! Below is the link-up for continuing to add your reviews in 2014. Thanks so much for joining in on this fun challenge!

I was very pleasantly surprised by how many movies on Netflix started as books! I think nearly any classic I read, I’ll probably also watch the movie there πŸ™‚

I’m a little behind on this challenge. I started reading Peter Pan with the intention of watching Hook, but other books caught my attention. πŸ™‚

Hopefully I will have some reviews completed by your next check-in!

I must be losing my mind. I had entirely forgotten that I had already done one book to movie post. I am in the middle of my next one … for In the Heat of the Night. Have read the book, will be watching the movie soon. This is a great challenge.

I don’t think that means you’re going crazy! I’m the worst at remembering to link-up to challenge. Hopefully this weekend I’ll go through and get caught up πŸ™‚

Hi, I’ve read six books already that are or were adapted into films. I’d said that I was signing up for level one, but I plan to read more since there are several other books being adapted into movies this year and I want to read those as well before seeing the movie. I jut saw “Divergent” and hope to see “Heaven is for Real” When that one comes out in two weeks. And I’m getting excited about seeing “Gone Girl.”

Thanks Angie! I don’t think of myself as especially creative so I was very happy to find a movie poster generator to help me out πŸ™‚
