Non-Fiction Friday is a link-up where you can find all of the awesome non-fiction happenings of the week. Be sure to link-up your non-fiction posts too!
- I love this article on the complementary purposes of fiction and non-fiction. Fantastic!
- Another article at Huffpost this week weighing in on the merits of non-fiction for young readers
- As someone who enjoys memoirs and creative non-fiction, I thought these essays about writing in those genres gave an interesting new perspective
- Exciting non-fiction coming out this week includes:
- A Less Boring History of the World
- Wonder Woman Unbound: The Curious History of the World’s Most Famous Heroine
- Nisei Daughter
- The Remedy: Robert Koch, Arthur Conan Doyle, and the Quest to Cure Tuberculosis
- You Are Here: From the Compass to GPS, the History and Future of How We Find Ourselves

I enjoyed the article on non-fiction for young readers. As a die hard fiction reader I am always surprised that my daughter gravitates towards “information books” instead of stories. Who know, maybe someday she will be contributing to your site more than me!

How cool! I have such fond memories of reading with my mom, I always love hearing about young readers. And I think it’s wonderful that she likes to read non-fiction too
A Less Boring History of the World and The Remedy are going on my list!

I’ve started seeing some really good reviews for The Remedy, so I’d particularly like to read that one
Ooh, good to know! I actually just started taking a class with a TB professor, so I’m hoping to get my hands on this one soon!
