Bookish Bucket List

Inspired by Rebecca at Love At First Book, this is the beginning of my bookish bucket list of things I want to accomplish/experience as a book blogger.

  1. have 1000 blog followers
  2. make a deeper, personal connection with an authors
  3. start a book blogging event, host a twitter chat, etc
  4. Go to a book blogging conference
  5. get business cards (“book blogger and photographer”)
  6. have a book themed party
  7. host an in-person book club
  8. Guest post for a big deal book website or magazine
  9. Get invited as a guest speaker for a bookrelated conference
  10. Do 10 new activities inspired by books
  11. Meet 20 authors
  12. Plan a trip to meet other book bloggers
  13. do 5 guest posts
  14. co-host a blogging event
  15. have 1000 twitter followers
  16. order blog business cards and maybe stationary
  17. host a read-a-long

I love how you have made yours a running list! It took me (and Allison) a looooooong time to come up with all 50! And now that it has been a few months, I’m actually planning on writing up a recap post. Some of my goals have changed, some need to be edited, and some have been achieved or close to it. But the majority will take me many more years to complete!

    Good luck!!!

Thanks! I think it will be nice to add updated follower goals as the blog gets older or things like your goals for stamping books as I develop new bookish interests :) I think writing these goals down was a really fun idea (especially for someone like me who loves lists) and am glad you don’t mind other people replicating it. Good luck with your goals too!

I love that people like the idea, and honestly, as long as Allison & I get a little shoutout for coming up with it (like how you used the logo and linked up) then it’s fabulous! :)

I just added a Mr. Linky to the 50 Bookish Things page, so I’d love for you to head over and link up here!

Great start! Like Rebecca said, it took us foreeever to come up with them! Be sure to link it up on my page, too, so that you can get double the clicks!

If recommend taking part in Dewey’s 24 hour Readathon. the next one is in October. it’s a great way to read about other book lovers, read for a day & you could even co-host a mini Challenge. this would be a good first step to hosting your own chats & stuff. http://www.24hrreadathon.com or something like that.

Thanks Sharlene! I was planning on participating in the read-a-thon, but hadn’t thought about hosting a mini-challenge. I think it’s a great idea and I’ll keep an eye out for sign-ups :)

Your list gave me some good ideas. I like the making business card ones and making it a goal to meet a certain number of authors. Good luck with your bucket list!
