Bookish Blogging Events

I’ve really been enjoying book and other swaps over the past year, so I was excited to discover the Books ‘n’ Bloggers from a post by Jillian at Addled By Books. This event is hosted by Chaotic Goddess Hops and sign-ups are here. If you want to join in, be sure to do it now since sign-ups end tomorrow, January 14th!

I’m not sure I’ll participate in this min-bloggiesta, since I’m at an ALA conference that weekend, but I’d highly recommend it! It’s both a fun time and a great way to work on your blog. Sign-ups will be up in a week or two at It’s All About Books.

What bookish blogging events are you looking forward too?

Thanks for sharing this with us, Katie. I don’t think I’m gonna join though since the Read-a-long, the 2014 series challenge and the GR challenges are already pressure enough. Hahaha.

Besides, I couldn’t participate with book swaps since I am from the Phil.

Good luck and have fun, Katie!

For future reference, Charlotte, our Books ‘n’ Bloggers swap (happens in Jan and June) IS international. Folks can use the free international shipping option with The Book Depository and Fishpond, so as long as those deliver to you, you’re fine. :D

    • Although the book swap sign-ups have closed this time and it sounds like you’ve got enough on your plate, this is a book swap worth paying attention to since they do allow international participants. They just recommend sending books to your partner via the book depository so you don’t pay too much shipping :)

I love crashing Bloggiesta. I never know if I want to sign up and in the end all the talking on twitter motivates me to do something for it anyway.

    • The twitter chats are one of my favorite parts! I hadn’t thought of joining in through twitter even though I’m not going to sign up, but that’s a great idea. That way, if I have some time, I can join in and if I don’t have time, there’s no pressure :)

I’ve never heard of the bloggiesta before, intriguing! I just spent a bit of time prepping my site for 2014 so I think rather than signing up I’ll sit back and follow along on twitter. Thanks for sharing!

Oh I love it! I have no idea how I’ll do Bloggiesta. . . I was thinking of making the goals not about the blog itself but about ALA. What do you think?

  6. I think that’s a fun idea :) I’ve never done something like this, so I don’t know what to expect well enough to set goals, but I’d be interested to see what you come up with.
