I’m excited to re-read this trilogy! Especially since I picked up this beautiful, surprisingly slim anthology that includes all three book. Sign-ups are going on here and are hosted by Pages Unbound and Chasm of Books.
Emma Read-a-long
I’m also excited to read Emma for the first time. It should be fun! We’ll be discussing chapters 1-9 on January 18th, so it’s not too late to join. Allison at The Cheap Reader is hosting and sign-ups are here.

Monuments Men Read-a-long
Last but not least, Jennifer at Bookalicious Mama and I are hosting a Monuments Men read-a-long. We’re discussing Part 1 at the end of the week and you can still sign up here.

I’ve recently finished reading The Monuments Men, so I won’t be participating in the readalong. It’s such a great idea, though. I’m eager to find out what you think about it!
Have fun!

I hope you enjoyed it as much as I am, because I’m liking it a lot. It seems like very well done narrative non-fiction to me
Emma is a brilliant book, you’ll likely find this an easy readlong to complete

Wonderful! With all these read-a-longs, an easy read would definitely help me keep on schedule
And I’m glad to hear that you like Emma. I love S&S and P&P but was not so impressed with Mansfield Park, so I’m hoping Emma is more enjoyable.
Woah, I love the idea of the LOTR-readalong, but I have so many things going on this month I’m not sure if I can do it. Maybe I’ll just start reading and try to catch up

I’m probably going to be playing catch up on this one a bit myself, but I also really loved the idea and just couldn’t pass it up. I don’t re-read books very often, but I love LOTR and thought it was time to revisit it
Amazing! All of these read-a-longs look like fun and I’d join you if I wasn’t already committed to reading Paradise Lost. I think you will find Emma a good book. Have you read any of Jane Austen’s other books?

Haha, there are just so many read-a-longs this month. I think we must all be feeling motivated by the new year
I’ve read P&P, recently re-read S&S, and also just read Mansfield Park for the first time. I loved the first two, but was not especially impressed by Mansfield Park.

Haha, yeah, this may be a bad idea, but I figure worst case scenario, I can always catch up on the LOTR read-a-long in February
Good luck with all your read alongs. I hope you will enjoy the books!

No problem! I’m excited to join in
Readalongs are a great way to tackle chunksters and classics! I failed at LOTR after finishing The Fellowship of the Ring- my hat’s off to you!

I agree! The motivation of getting certain bits done in time to talk to people about the book can be very helpful
Good stuff! I hope you enjoy Emma as much as I did! I had a crush on the film adaptation in high school and read the actual novel later. <3
