Nonfiction Friday is a link-up where you can find all of the awesome nonfiction happenings of the week.
- I don’t typically post about longform nonfiction essays, but the winner of the 2020 Barnhill Prize for Creative Nonfiction is available online and sounds pretty interesting!
- You know how I’ve been complaining that it’s too early for best of 2020 nonfiction lists? Well, I’ll just let you guess how I feel about this best of (anticipated) 2021 nonfiction list! Perhaps the title ‘most anticipated’ was taken :p
- Nonfiction to look forward to in the next week includes:
- Flight Lines: Across the Globe on a Journey with the Astonishing Ultramarathon Birds
- The Way of Bach: Three Years with the Man, the Music, and the Piano
- The Book Collectors: A Band of Syrian Rebels and the Stories That Carried Them Through a War
- The Good Ancestor: How to Think Long-Term in a Short-Term World
- Earth Keeper: Reflections on the American Land

Ahahaha it’s not that I disagree that it’s too early for Best of 2020 Nonfiction lists, but on the other hand, I have to do my Christmas shopping early this year due to concerns about the postal service being overburdened, and that means I need to order an amazing nonfiction book for my uncle. But what to get? HOW COULD I KNOW? 😛

That’s true! For all that I find the titles of these lists a bit hyperbolic/premature, they can be useful for finding good books 🙂
