- Following on three prize list announcements last week, we have two more this week! Must be that time of year. One of my favorite prizes to follow, the National Book Award, has announced their 2020 Nonfiction Longlist. The Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC) Nonfiction Prize longlist has also been announced and it’s a bit intimidating, with 35 books included!
- The only books I’ve read by creative nonfiction author Lee Gutkind isn’t one of my favorites. However, I have the impression that he’s played a large role in shaping the genre, including editing a literary magazine for 27 years. This was an interesting interview with him about his latest work.
