I’m a little bit late with this first post, but it’s still time to kick of #AMonthOfFaves! Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this month, Tamara of Travelling with T, Andi of Estella’s Revenge, and Tanya of GirlXOXO will be sharing discussion prompts to help us wrap up our year in style. Today, the first prompt is about sharing a few of our favorite things from 2017:
#AMonthofFaves [The 2017 Favorites Edition]– eg. to eat, drink, wear, smell, see, do, enjoy, best purchases, most used gift received etc, favorite concert, outdoor activity, place visited, most squee worthy moment of the year.
To Drink: This year, I discovered that I like coffee! I’ve always loved the smell and I’ve enjoyed coffee drinks, like mochas, but I’ve thought that straight coffee was too bitter for me. I must have given up on it too soon though, because I tried some Turkish coffee while travelling in Albania this year, in the spirit of adventure, and now I’m hooked!
To Wear: One of my favorite things to wear is actually also something I picked up in Albania – this cozy hoodie with the Albanian flag on it. I’ve also been enjoying showing off my love of Overwatch with a shirt showing one of the characters from the game.
To Do: My husband and I have started doing photography almost every weekend, sometimes going out at dawn, and it’s been very fulfilling! It’s so nice to get outside so much. You can see some of my pictures and connect with me on flickr.
Favorite Gift: My favorite gift relates to the previous answer – I’ve been getting out and doing more nature photography so my husband got me an early Christmas present of a new lens. It’s got a greater focal length and is much sharper than any of my previous lenses and I’m really enjoying it!
Place Visited: Definitely Albania – it was beautiful and we got to stay in a castle, learn some history, and best of all, go to a friend’s wedding. It was also surprisingly cheap. A lot of places much closer to home are close seconds though. Getting out and doing more photography has made me realize how many beautiful green spaces there are in the Bay Area!
Other favorites: Since this is a book blog, I have to mention my book club. I’ve met some wonderful people and always look forward to meetings and social events. There aren’t many things I’ll brave Bay Area traffic for in the evenings, but for book club, I don’t even mind.
