October Wrap-Up

November 1, 2017 Uncategorized 8

Happy Fall everyone! We may not really get fall weather here in California, but this month I’ve been enjoying all things autumn. Curling up with a book and some warm apple cider, gearing up for Nonfiction November, and Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-a-Thon have been some of my favorite things and I’m looking forward to more of the same in November.

Books Read

It’s been another great month of great books! I’m certain a lot of my favorite reads of this year are going to be books I read this month. Plus I made it through 14 books thanks to Dewey’s.

Basically all of my views last month were of the Read-a-thon Challenge I hosted. Check it out for some great pictures people shared of their reading buddies during the read-a-thon!

Obviously I’m going to remind you that Nonfiction November is happening! With so many ways to participate this year, you don’t want to miss it – Instagram, book swaps, discussion posts. And if you’re looking forward to fall reading, you should also check out Witch Week, hosted by Lory at Emerald City Book Reviews. The theme this year is Dreams of Arthur and you can join in with discussion posts, giveaways, and lots of conversation about King Arthur.

What a great reading month! I did participate in Readathon this month, which was super fun, but only made it through about 3-4 selections that day since they were longer ones. I am very much looking forward to the discussion on Neurotribes; I am listening to the audio version and it is so interesting.

Believe it or not, I hadn’t! I’m sorry I didn’t get to it before there were so many spoilers around about the plot, but I still really enjoyed it 🙂
