Every read-a-thon is different, but one thing that’s consistent every year is my cat’s certainty that whenever I’m reading, I need her help! Are you reading with a bookish buddy today? If so, share a picture of your reading buddy on Instagram or elsewhere. I’ve already seen lots of cute pet pictures go by today and will happily accept as entries pics you shared earlier today. Use the hashtag #ReadathonBuddy if you’re sharing on a hashtag kind of site. Once you’ve shared your picture, stop back to enter the giveaway. I’ll announce the winner after the end of hour 17.
Update – If you don’t have a pet, feel free to share a picture of a stuffed animal, funko pop, etc or the location where you’re reading instead. I’d like everyone to be able to participate in this one, so please get as creative as you’d like with it 🙂

It’s my bird, who sadly passed away less than 2 weeks ago, after sharing my life for almost 10 years. :….. But I am sure he’s with me now. At least now he can’t bite off the corners of my books! His taste for books is quite different from mine, I’d say.
