First Women is such an intriguing title, I will have to take a look. Also, definitely checking out the non-fiction science book list 🙂 I’m looking at the body and cultural history in my non-fiction post.

I really enjoyed The Residence by the same author, so I’m particularly excited to check that out 🙂 Thanks for sharing your review!

I don’t know much about Kent State, so I’d be very interested to learn more. I’ve generally heard great things about When Breath Becomes Air and I’m excited to read your review.

I’m interested in 67 shots since I live near Kent State now. I had a hard time when I moved here actually thinking of it as a real college and not a historical event.

Great list of links, although I couldn’t get the link to the passionate defense of nonfiction to work. Will try again later. I especially liked the list of 11 science books, and haven’t read any of them!

The defense of nonfiction one seems to be working for me now if you wanted to try it again 🙂

I’ve read only three of the science nonfiction books (Packing for Mars, Genome, and The Botany of Desire) but they all look good to me.

Oh, the thing about memoirists was interesting. I always wonder that when I’m reading memoirs, which is one reason I rarely do anymore — I get too anxious on behalf of their family members.

I don’t usually think about this when reading a memoir, but I am glad I’ve never been included in someone else’s! It seems like it could be very awkward.

I added First Women to my list last week. It looks really good. I already have 2 books about Kathleen Kennedy on my TBR. Seems like she is a hot topic for books the last couple of years.

I really enjoyed The Residence by the same author, so I’m sure it will be 🙂 I always wonder when I see a couple of books about the same person published around the same time if it’s an anniversary of their death or birth or something like that.

I’ve finally finished one of the non-fiction books I’ve been reading all year! Like Valorie it is When Breath becomes Air.
