I was going to vote for Neurotribes (or perhaps Furiously happy) for next month’s book choice – but I’ve never participated in the nomination process so I don’t really know how it works. At least, I assume we nominate. Or do you choose a list? Anyway, I’m SO excited to read Neurotribes.

I choose a list, but I definitely accept nominations. I didn’t get many nominations the first month, so I’ve not been advertising that fact so much, but I think I’ll do so more this month. I’d love to get more suggestions from other bloggers. I’ll add Neurotribes and Furiously Happy to the long list 🙂

Thanks for the shout-out AND the great list of character building titles.

Has anyone read Fail, Fail Again Fail Better (Pema Chodron), Howard Zinn’s A People’s history of the United States or Manufacturing Consent (Naom Chomsky) from this list? Are they as good as they sound?
Neurotribes sounds fascinating, but I’m currently immersed in a great book about the history of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef – the mix of history, geography and marine science is pretty wonderful. A book with full colour plates would be heaven 🙂

I haven’t read any of these so far, but I’ve heard good things about A People’s History. I love when nonfiction books have beautiful pictures to go along with the story 🙂
