Agreed! And SK also writes under the name Madeline Wickham (just in case you did not know!) SK’s later Shopaholic series is ok- it’s not like it’s not worth a read- but the first 3 of Shopaholic are just so much better. I also recommend her Can You Keep A Secret! It’s very cute!

I had no idea some of her books had been made into movies. I’m even more tempted to try some of her other books now I’m not a huge fan of contemporaries either, but I like the occasional light romance in whatever era if I’m in the right mood. Angsty stories are still not my cup of tea, but after loving The Book Thief, I’m feeling like I should give them more of a try.

Thanks! I find I often have less to say about an audiobook than a physical book, perhaps because it’s harder to take notes, so the shorter format works for me If you do read or listen to it, I’ll be interested to hear what you think.

Alright, next time I’m looking for a light romance, I’ll keep her other books in mind I think it’s too bad some series are stretched out too long. Whether books or a TV show, I’d rather they end before they start going down hill.

Though I’ve enjoyed the film adaptations of The Confessions of A Shopaholic, I was never tempted to buy any of Kinsella’s books. I don’t know but maybe it’s because of the fact that I am not really big on Contemporaries.

It’s only now that I started exploring the said genre and I think I am more into angsty contemp stories. Hahaha. Maybe I’ll try this one out once I’m tired reading Dystopias and Fantasies.

I thought I’ve Got Your Number was really cute- yes, some things did pass the “believable” scale! Strongly recommend you reading Confessions of a Shopaholic and the next 2 in the series. After Shopaholic Gets Married (3rd in series) the series does start to lag a bit- which is why I think I enjoyed NUMBER because it was a return to SK that I enjoyed!

I haven’t read anything else by Sophie Kinsella, but I might if I’m in the right mood. It struck me as average for the genre, but it was cute and fun, which is sometimes all I ask from a book

I really liked Sophie Kinsella’s Shopoholic books, so I’ll have to try this one out! Poppy sounds like she could be annoying, but the story sounds really cute and fun. Great review!
