I think you’re not alone in loving lists, since I feel like my list posts are often some of my most visited. Even though I don’t do TTT, I would like to do more list posts I think your latest TTT post is a great example of doing something a little different with the meme. I like the way the gifs you use capture the feel of the book you’re talking about. Very creative!

I still do TTT (because I <3 lists) but other than that I'm not really interested in memes anymore. I like original features/discussions a lot more

I agree with you about loot posts. Although I think it’s possible avoiding them is the reason I don’t usually experience blogger jealousy, I also don’t find them very interesting. I think they’re even more likely than TTT to b just a list and the books will most likely show up again with a review later. I love memes that spark a discussion but I am currently without a meme that gives discussion prompts. Hopefully I’ll find a good one soon

Yeah, I definitely understand if a blogger doesn’t have time to make their TTT post not just a list every week. Actually, I really like the look of the Life of a Blogger meme, so I might participate in the future, especially in weeks like this one when I don’t feel up to creating an interesting discussion post Thanks for sharing!

A lot of memes I will skim or just skip completely. For example, loot posts (Mailbox Monday, Stacking the Shelves, etc…) just don’t interest me at all. It’s not a jealousy thing, I just don’t particularly care for lists of books with no other information. Once you read the book and share your thoughts on it, then I’ll be interested. Along the same lines, Top Ten Tuesday can be hit or miss. The more information a blogger includes as to why they pick the books they do, the better. Memes like that launch discussion, like Booking Through Thursday (although that one’s been inactive for a while) are much more to my taste.

I love memes, reading them and participating in them. I haven’t had as much time lately to visit other people’s meme posts as I would like, but I hope to get back to that soon. I do prefer the TTT posts that are not just lists and I try not to do just the lists myself. I usually start by creating the list and then going back and filling in more later, which sometimes means I never get back to it. It happens, but hopefully not too often.

I just decided to start a Non-fiction Friday link-up which is live now If you’re interested in fantasy or sci-fi, Anya at onstarshipsanddragonwings.com runs a nice link-up that also happens on Friday. That’s the only one I’ve found so far though, which is too bad, because they’re one of my favorite memes.
