Thank you both for your vote of confidence! Writing Teen/YA was a much harder endeavor to pull off than most people would think. I plan on continuing the series with a Hudson Valley theme, exploring other legends and urban myths from where I grew up…

I think the awesome bits did win out. I’d definitely read more by the author, especially since I agree with you that it’s so nice to get away from tropes! As a reader, I want to encourage authors who do something a little different

It sounds like the overall-ness of it wins out, and I like the idea of reading something that isn’t a trope. There should be more of those! I’d not heard of the author so thanks for the introduction
