Decision Time!

December 4, 2012 Uncategorized 12

I’ve finally decided on some reading challenge for 2013! Although I’ve mostly just decided to do all of them πŸ˜› However I’ve also promised myself not to stress about them and I’ve picked ones I think I’ll really enjoy doing. They all either align well with my other reading goals and interests or are selected specifically to bring some variety into my reading.

I do realize some of these challenges areΒ redundant, but I like participating in multiple challenges with the same theme for a variety of reasons. Of course, this selfish reason is that I’ll post some review posts to multiple challenges. The community-oriented reason is that I like to promote all of these challenges and read reviews by other bloggers doing them.Β  Without further ado, here are those challenges….

Book and Movie Challenge

Because variety is the spice of life…

Goal – Avid Reader – 24 books from 24 genresBecause Non-fiction is what we do at Doing Dewey…

Goal – Nerd – 15+ books in 8+ catagories

Because I love these genres…

Goal – Renaissance Reader – 10 books

Goal – Evil Enchantress – 13-15 books

Goal – Prince Charming – 15 books

Because I want to support new authors…

Goal – Paragraph – 10 books

Thanks! I’m very excited to start that one πŸ™‚ Something else you might want to check out is The Cheap Reader’s Project Fairytale where a bunch of bloggers will be reading original fairy tales and their re-tellings.

Oh wow, those all sound like fun! I’m definitely looking forward to see what you read for the telling tales/fairy tales retold challenges. πŸ™‚ Good luck with them all!

Thanks! I like it because it shakes up my routine. This year, it got me to read my first graphic novel ever and I’m still planning on reading a book of poetry, which I haven’t done in a very long time πŸ™‚

These look like so much fun, thanks for posting them! I’m going to sign up for the Telling Tales challenge; I just have to figure out what level I’ll aim for!

I definitely I had a hard time deciding! Last year I just did the max for each, but this year I’m doing enough that being realistic was important πŸ™‚
